I'm currently working as Computer Software Engineer for
Hit Software in San Jose (CA, USA) where I am in charge of the development and technical support for
Allora, a middleware solution for bidirectional data trasformation XML - RDB. I also manage product demonstrations and case
studies analysis to support both the marketing and the sales team.
From June 2006 to December 2007 I worked for Escort
Memory Systems in Scotts Valley (CA,USA),
a Datalogic Group Company leader in the development, manufacturing and support of RFID solutions for the supply
chain. As Software System Engineer I managed most of the aspects of
developing the firmware and main applications for ARM based architecture.
From October 2003 to May 2006 I worked for the Datalogic headquarters in Bologna (Italy) where
I was
involved in different research
activities in the field of video data capture and processing. I mainly focused on video capture phenomenos by
developing Matlab Applications and design of DSP-based architecture for the video processing.
As result of my studies I develop new techniques to perform video restoration in
the field of bar code reading sytems.
I also coordinated research activities between Datalogic and University of
Bologna (Università di Bologna) as tutor of thesis.
In the 2003 I worked for
NEC Research Institute
, Princeton NJ (USA) as element of a
team in design of EDA tools with applied solutions for Hardware and Software Co-Design tools.
During my thesis I developed a Network on-chip Interface for Multi-Processor System on-chip (OCP protocol) as
part of an international project through
University of Bologna
(Italy) and
Stanford University
(CA USA).
When I was a graduate student I worked together with the Advanced Research Center on
Electronic Systems for Information and Communication Technologies "Ercole De Castro" (
ARCES
) to develop a reconfigurable multiplier for FPGA and a Huffman encoder/decoder for MPEG
architecture microprocessor-FPGA.
