I am an Electrical Engineer born in 1978 in
Bologna, one of the most beautiful and intellectually known cities in
Italy.
Since January 2008 I have been working for Hit Software (CA, USA), a leading software
provider of secure middleware data access and data replication products.
From October 2003 to December 2007 I worked for Datalogic Group, first
in Bologna (Italy) as a junior designer in the R&D division and then in
Scotts Valley (CA,USA) as senior system software engineer for Escort Memory Systems.
From March 2003 to September 2003, I was selected to be part of a paid
internship program at NEC
Research Institute in Princeton, New Jersey (USA).
I graduated from the University of Bologna Italy on March 2003 with a degree
in Electrical Engineering, my dissertation took part of an international
project through the University of Bologna (Italy) and Stanford
University (CA,USA).
I spend most of my spare time looking for new engineering challenges where
to catch opportunities. The major areas where I keep my eyes on are: social networks, social communication,
mobile devices, disruptive technologies.
I attend different meetup
groups in the Bay Area on the topics of Silicon Valley New Technologies, Ruby
on Rails/Web 2.0, Startup Enterpreneur.
I also love cycling, going to the gym, writing blogs, investing in the stock market and reading about DNA sequencing.
